Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS)
Mrs Rena Lee is Chief Executive of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) as well as Singapore’s Ambassador for International Law. As the Chief Executive of IPOS, Rena has oversight over the national intellectual property regime in Singapore and leads the office in its initiatives for rights owners and businesses to use their intangible assets and intellectual property to grow.
Rena has served in a number of capacities in the Singapore public service since 1992 and specializes in the practice of public international law, covering diverse areas including law of the sea, environmental and climate change law, humanitarian and human rights law and intellectual property law. Rena served as President of the UN Intergovernmental Conference on Biodiversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) from 2018 to 2023.
